Where does a better world start?
What society expects of a woman today is dramatically different from what it expected even some short 20 years ago. Women, somehow, need to be mothers, friends, partners at work, wives, and breadwinners and all at the same time. They need to be independent but gentle and sweet; strong leaders and protectors; educators and those who inspire. They also need to help others to become leaders.
The impact women have in society is hard to overestimate. To me, helping to develop leadership skills in others is connected to my motherhood. After all, mothers do help babies to become adults. If a mother is in the space of possibility, she will strive to raise her children in that space. She will try to create a future of possibility for them.
We all want positive change globally and locally. Women are the best candidates for creating this change. If they believe in themselves, their kids will have a better chance of growing up believing in themselves as well. Girls who see their mothers respected, successful, and full of life will enjoy their womanhood much more. The happy circle needs to start and it starts with us.
I discovered that the science of competition and Vedic art therapy allowed me to stop the negative self-talk and it opened up a whole different world for me. Now I help others to accomplish the same. If all of us, women, find our own voice and share it with others our planet will be a beautiful place sooner than we can imagine.
