My Collaboration with M.A.D.S Art Gallery
Fall, for me, is one of the most exciting times of the year. It’s the time of year when I have the most opportunities to present my work at art shows, meet interesting people, and continue to expand my comfort zone.
An example of that opportunity can be seen in my partnership with M.A.D.S. Art Gallery. In late October I shared my work in their “Guardians of Dreams” exhibition. This international exhibition featured artists from all over the world to share their perceptions of Good and Evil.
Three of my pieces were presented, one being “Oz,” a colorfully rhythmic piece about a wizard’s continuous journey. It’s about the journey of learning how to design life not only using logic and step-by-step instructions but by utilizing the Source that has built the reality we are in. Feeling and experiencing this kind of intelligence is breathtaking.
I’m am also excited to partner with M.A.D.S. Art Gallery again in their final show of the year, “Brain Cake.” This international exhibit will feature artists from around the world, and I’ll be showcasing my piece, “Faces In Line.”
“The Brain Cake event calls on the artist to let himself be seduced by this exquisite moment of escape, find his ingredients, leave his brain free to stop and free itself, finding its relief in the meal or perhaps just in the contemplation of a new artwork.” This exhibit is about letting go and finding which ingredients allow this freedom.
This is a very special piece for me. As most of you who have been following me for a while know, one of my favorite art practices that I often teach is the “Line” exercise. It’s about exploring where the natural flow of your piece wants to go. Where, as an artist, you get to see the art come alive on its own.
When creating this painting, I enjoyed getting lost in “the line.” Seeing how the faces started naturally coming through was exciting. There is a somewhat limited amount of color in this piece. However, with the texture of the line movement, there’s a persuasion of multidimensionality.
Different art can make you feel different things. So, I’m curious, what do you feel when you look at this piece?
