Mixing colors as a tool to learn patience and oneness.
A lot of things can be revealed when we are aware of how we paint.
To give a personal example, I used to look at things from right/wrong point of view. I also used to paint with colors that I either mix straight on the canvas or I would layer them next to each other. Partially this idea is in me because my uncle used to paint that way, and I spent a lot of time next to him when I was little. Let’s say I want to expand. What can I do?
Two practices will be useful in the beginning:
One is practicing patience. You need to work slowly with no rush, enjoying small and subtle changes. Even consciously change your breath to a slow rhythm.
Another one is focusing on the transformation of colors on the palette and enjoying that transformation. Watching the transformation intensely.
Soon the realization of how one thing gives birth to another, or how new color or shade of the color comes to life will happen. You will see how the old colors or things are still a part of this new one! Everything transforms!
By the way, surely it will eventually change right/wrong attitude to the idea of oneness. The space of oneness is an exciting and relaxing space to be.
