How to choose a teacher?
I think the teacher that gives knowledge but makes you feel less about yourself than you felt before class is not a good teacher. Even if you get the information, the powerless ideas about yourself will stop your progress. I would stay away until you are complete and unshaken about yourself. When you are complete, you can learn from anybody.
Teachers who are always excited and want to make sure you like their class might not give you straight answers that you need. Again, if you are complete you can pull out the answer. If you are not complete you will get addicted to the praise and progress might be slow.
Teachers who convince you that they are the only way. Never true. We connect with people differently.
To be honest I teach because I experience such high energy vibration when I see that a student “gets it”. It is equal in strength of what I feel when I paint myself. The bliss that I feel when my student reached his or her inner source is pure bliss. I get it all in my classes: the challenge, the unknown, the opening of a being. Breathtaking.
This painting is by my student Judy Sullivan. She is an amazing mother who loves art. I will never forget her sunny face. Isn’t her painting perfect?!
